| Hopkinsville City Council swears in public safety officers |

The City of Hopkinsville now has two more crime fighters working the streets. During Tuesday night’s city council meeting, Mayor Dan Kemp swore into office two new public safety officers into the Hopkinsville Police Department. According to Mayor Kemp, the two civilian positions were created and authorized by the city council this year. 19-year old Chris Bond was hired as a public safety officer and Air Force Veteran and Purple Heart recipient 27-year old Keith Robert Flick was hired as a crime scene technician. Following the swearing in ceremony, Mayor Kemp stated he felt that they would be good public safety officers and that many individuals applied for the position. ** |
