Organizer says another successful Stars and Promises concert

Organizers of the “Stars and Promises” concert to benefit the Christian County Juvenile Drug Court say it was another successful event.

Drug Court Director Gary Craft said there may not have been as many people as last year at the Alahambra, but it was still well-attended.

Craft didn’t immediately have a dollar figure on how much was raised, but expects it to be a little short of last year’s 11 thousand dollars.

The concert was held in memory of the late Charles Jackson and Bill Bruce. The Christian County Juvenile Drug Court lost funding due to General Assembly action two years ago and now relies solely on donations from the public.
