Details are now known about the murder from overnight in northern Trigg County.

A news release from State Police says the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Trigg County Sports Complex on Kentucky 139 just after 2am.

Initial reports revealed the shooting took place during a party at the complex and the victim has been identified as 26-year old Eric Jones of Cadiz. State Police has taken over the lead in the investigation and are encouraging anyone who may information regarding the incident to call them at 1-800-222-5555.

State Police say they are working on leads in the case.
