Jonathan Johnson

Hopkinsville Police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for a recent vehicle arson.

Arrested yesterday morning around 10:30 at 705 North Elm Street was 18-year old Jonathan Johnson of Hopkinsville.
Johnson is accused of using a plastic jug containing a flammable substance to set fire to a vehicle belonging to 35-year old Jervon Steele at 504 Millbrooke Drive in the early morning hours of November 5^th.

The warrant says Johnson was seen running from the scene and that he lost a blue cap while fleeing. Johnson would later be seen watching the fire while fire-fighters put it out.

Johnson was lodged in the Christian County Jail on $5,000 bond and charged with third degree arson.
