Deer versus vehicle wrecks continue to rise in Clarksville. According to Clarksville Police, there have been 140 deer crashes compared to 139 last year and 13 of the wrecks this year involved injuries. Police say yesterday around 8 a.m. 26-year old Brian Fraley of Clarksville was driving a 2009 Jeep Laredo south on Fort Campbell Boulevard near Concord Drive when a deer crossing the roadway attempted to jump over the vehicle, but hit the driver’s side mirror and shattered the windshield. Police say as a result of the collision, Fraley had some facial lacerations and cuts to his hands and was treated on the scene for non-life threatening injuries. ** |
