| Clarksville woman arrested for making up kidnapping story |
|
Brigham A Clarksville woman was arrested on filing a false report charges early yesterday morning after allegedly telling officers she was kidnapped and then admitting she made it up. Clarksville Police were called to 231 10th Street just before 1:30, where 32-year old April Brigham told them three juvenile black males came to her home and forced her into their vehicle at gunpoint. Brigham said they blindfolded her and took ten dollars cash before driving her to the A & W Hotel on Madison St, where she was released. She said she then walked to a friend’s house, where the friend called 911. Police noticed inconsistencies in her story, such as her clothes and hair being dry despite it being a rainy night. Brigham later admitted to making up the story and was lodged in the Montgomery County Jail. ** 11/28/2011/am |
