HOPKINSVILLE GROCERY STORE EMPLOYEE ACCUSED OF STEALING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS

A Hopkinsville grocery store employee is accused of stealing thousands of dollars.

Hopkinsville Police charged 22-year old Brittany Dawn Gilford on Thanksgiving Day with one count of theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 and 1st degree unlawful access to a computer.

Des Houchens of Kroger loss prevention told police Gilford has been refunding money from the cash register and depositing it into her pre-paid card.

According to Houchens, over the past three months, the 22-year old stole over $19,000.

Gilford’s bond is set at $10,000 and she is lodged in the Christian County Jail.
