A Hopkinsville Police Officer who was arrested and charged last week with drunk driving as resigned from his position. Hopkinsville Police Chief Guy Howie announced today that 35-year old Tim Leyenaar has resigned from his position at the police department. As previously reported, Leyenaar was arrested by a Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy on November 17th for Driving Under the Influence and reportedly had his children in his vehicle at the time of his arrest. According to Chief Howie, due to his resignation, there will be no internal affairs investigation. ** (11/21/2011) |
