Clarksville Police are investigating an early morning shooting that reportedly sent a man to the hospital.
Police say details are sketch and inconsistent concerning the shooting that took place around 12:30 this morning, where officials responded to the area of Vanleer Street.
While on the scene, a male shooting victim in his 20's told police he was visiting a relative and went outside to his vehicle that was parked on Vanleer Street, when he was approached by two men that called him by a different name and started shooting at him.
According to police, one round hit him and shattered his femur and he was taken to a Nasvhille hospital by ambulance and is listed in stable condition.
Police say the investigation in to the shooting is ongoing.
