High School Baseball: The last time Christian County played in the 2nd region baseball championship was 2009 in Madisonville when they lost to Henderson County 4-1. The same teams meet tonight in the 2013 title game at 7 in Elmer Kelley Stadium. The southern Colonels bring a 26-14 record into the game with the 5th ranked northern Colonels who are 28-8. High School Softball: 17th ranked Livingston Central meets 25th ranked Henderson County in the 2nd region championship game at 6 this evening at Lee S. Jones Park in Eddyville
Other finals this evening have Reidland meeting Lone Oak in the 1st region championship, with Owensboro Catholic meeting Edmonson County in the 3rd region title game.
Winners will advance to the Rawlings/KHSAA State tournament which begins Thursday at Jack Fisher Park in Owensboro.
MLB: Interleague play continues as the Chicago Cubs host the Chicago White Sox this afternoon, with evening games including Cincinnati at Cleveland, St. Louis hosting Kansas City and Atlanta hosting Toronto.
NBA/NHL: The NBA playoffs have the night off, while Detroit and Chicago meet in game 7 of their Western Conference Stanley Cup semifinal series in the Windy City. The winner gets the defending champion LA Kings in the Western Conference finals.
