High School Baseball-Tuesday scores: Hopkinsville won its 12th game in a row defeating Madisonville 5-2, Union County edged University Heights 4-3, Livingston Central run ruled Fort Campbell 15-2 in 5 innings, Hopkins Central defeated Todd Central 13-7, South Warren won a slugfest with Logan County 15-11, Russellville rolled over Allen County Scottsville 12-2, Henderson County blanked Caldwell County 13-0, Marshall County doubled up Ballard Memorial 18-9, Calloway County run ruled Hickman County 16-5 in 5 innings.

High School Softball-Tuesday scores: Top ranked Greenwood won its 31st consecutive game setting a new state record in downing Christian County 1-0, Todd Central defeated Hopkinsville 6-3, Webster County over Dawson Springs 9-1, Madisonville run ruled Lyon County 11-1 in 5 innings, Hopkins Central blanked Muhlenberg County 6-0, Heath over Marshall County 8-3.

Pairings for the 8th district baseball and softball tournaments will be announced later today at Fort Campbell High School. The tournament is scheduled to begin early next week.
College Basketball: Andrew Wiggins will play collegiately for Kansas. The nation’s top high school prospect made his announcement Tuesday at Huntington Prep in front of family and friends. Kentucky was on the short list, along with North Carolina and Florida State.
Kentucky’s basketball game this coming season with Baylor will be part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. The game to be played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX will take place December 6th. Vanderbilt plays at Texas December 2nd, with one of the more intriguing matchups taking place December 10th when Kansas plays at Florida. Oklahoma State will host South Carolina December 6th.
The Courier Journal reports Louisville’s women’s team will play Western Kentucky on November 27th. The game to be played at EA Diddle Arena will be the first meeting between the schools since December, 2007 when Louisville won 76-60.
College Baseball: Austin Peay defeated Memphis 9-2, thanks to scoring five of its runs in the 5th and 6th innings. The Governors won their 9th game in a row and are now 39-13 on the season and begin a three game Ohio Valley Conference series Thursday night hosting SIU Edwardsville.
Minor League Baseball: The Bowling Green Hot Rods got a 3-2 win at Fort Wayne, with game two of the series this evening.
The Nashville Sounds had only four hits in losing to Sacramento 9-0. The Sounds are off today before opening an eight game road trip at Salt Lake City Thursday night.
Major League Baseball: Homer Bailey fired a six hitter to get his first win since April 5th as the Cincinnati Reds won their fourth game in a row, 6-2 over the Miami Marlins. The same teams play again tonight, with air time at 5:40 on News/Talk WHOP.
