Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart, projected as an NBA lottery pick, will return to school for his sophomore season. Markel Brown and Le'Bryan Nash also announced their intentions to return to Oklahoma State for the 2013-14 basketball season.
Smart averaged 15.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the Cowboys this past season. He was named both the Big 12 Conference's Player and Freshman of the Year and received the Wayman Tisdale Award as the national freshman of the year.
Nash averaged 14.0 points and 4.1 rebounds as a sophomore last season. The two-time All-Big 12 selection has 44 double-figure scoring games in his two- year career. Brown averaged 15.3 points and 4.4 rebounds as a junior last season. He became the second player in OSU history to record 200 assists, 100 steals and 75 blocked shots in a career.
Hopkinsville native Tommy Wade is an assistant coach for the Cowboys, who are coached by Madisonville native Travis Ford.
