College Football: The Lexington Herald Leader reports Kentucky’s football game with Mississippi State in the upcoming season will be a Thursday night game in Starkville. The game will be on October 24th at 6:30 Hopkinsville time and air on ESPN.
College Basketball: Despite the fact Nerlens Noel is out for the remainder of the season, the Kentucky freshman is one of eight finalists for the Waymon Tisdale Award, given to the top rookie in the nation.
Noel played in 24 games before suffering a season ending knee injury against Florida February 12th, averaging 10.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and averaging almost 5 blocks per game.
