NFL: Former Paducah Tilghman standout George Wilson has found a new home. Wilson and the Tennessee Titans have agreed on a multi year contract. The free agent was released by the Buffalo Bills February 11th . Wilson was a team captain his last five seasons in Buffalo and started 55 games at safety for the Bills. During the 2012 season, Wilson started all 16 games and ranked second on the team with 95 tackles.
Titans general manger Ruston Webster stated Wilson is a quality veteran player and will contribute to the titans both on and off the field and bring a veteran presence to the team.
League sources tell ESPN the Atlanta Falcons are likely to release running back Michael Turner. The 31-year-old Turner is scheduled to make $6.9 million in the 2013 season. Turner has played five seasons with the Falcons and in splitting duties last season had 800 yards and 10 touchdowns as the Falcons reached the NFC championship game.
MLB: There’s four spring training games this afternoon. In the Grapefruit League, Detroit is at Atlanta and in the Cactus League, Cincinnati meets Cleveland, San Diego goes against Seattle and Kansas City meets Texas.
College Basketball: There’s one Top 25 game this evening as 15th ranked Butler meets St. Louis.
