The field is set for the first round of the Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl.
Class 5-A: Hopkinsville travels to Warren Central for a 7:00 game Friday night, with the Heritage Bank pre game show at 6:35 on Newstalk 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP, while Christian County hosts Greenwood, with game time yet to be determined. The game will be heard on Lite 98.7.
Other 5-A games have Graves County hosting Logan County and Bowling Green entertaining Apollo.
Class 3-A: Fort Campbell hosts Hart County at 7:00, Trigg County travels to South Warren for a 7:30 game, Paducah Tilghman hosts Adair County, with Heath going to Monroe County.
Class 2-A: Caldwell County hosts Butler County, Ballard Memorial travels to Hancock County, Union County goes to Murray and Owensboro Catholic hosts Crittenden County.
Class A: Caverna goes to Mayfield, with Russellville hosting Bethlehem.
Class 4-A: Madisonville goes to Allen County Scottsville, Franklin Simpson travels to Lone Oak, Owensboro hosts Breckinridge County, Calloway County at Warren East.
Class 6-A: Muhlenberg County travels to Ballard, Marshall County goes to Eastern, Henderson County hosts Fern Creek and Daviess County hosts Oldham County.
High School Volleyball
Heritage Christian Academy lost in the championship match of the KCAA State Tournament Saturday at Lindsey Wilson College. After defeating Holy Angels 3 sets to none Friday night, the Lady Warriors defeated Cornerstone Christian 3 sets to one in the semi finals Saturday morning, then lost to Somerset Christian 3 sets to none in the finals.
Grace Waldron and Ashley Jent were named to the All Tournament team, with Waldron and Haley Lisembee named to the KCAA All State team.
College Football: Kentucky coach Joker Phillips has his weekly call in show at 5 this evening, followed by Big Blue Weekly at 6 on Lite 98.7.
Louisville has moved to number 10 in this week’s USA Today coaches poll, with Western Kentucky receiving four votes this week. The Cardinals moved to 12th in this week’s Associated Press poll, with Alabama remaining number one in both polls.
Western Kentucky became the second Kentucky school to become bowl eligible following its win at Florida International Saturday. The 6-2 Hilltoppers host Middle Tennessee Thursday night.
NFL: Andrew Luck found Vick Ballard on a 16-yard touchdown pass in overtime as the Indianapolis Colts clipped the Tennessee Titans 19-13 at LP Field. Luck finished 26-of-38 for 297 yards with the TD and an interception for the Colts, who snapped a 10-game road losing streak.

Matt Hasselbeck was 22-of-29 for 236 yards and a score for the 3-and-5 Titans whose two game winning streak ended. Chris Johnson ran for 99 yards on 21 carries in the loss. The Titans host the Chicago Bears next Sunday at noon at LP Field.
Monday Night Football has the San Francisco 49ers playing at the Arizona Cardinals, with coverage at 7 on Newstalk 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.
MLB: The San Francisco Giants captured their second World Series title in three years by beating the Detroit Tigers in 10 innings, 4-3. Marco Scutaro's RBI single in the 10th helped the Giants complete a four-game sweep.
