Boys Soccer: Trigg County plays at Union County
Weekend Wrap: Christian County’s freshman volleyball team finished second at the Caldwell County Slam Down, going 3-1 on Saturday. The Lady Colonels lost to host Caldwell County in the championship match. Meanwhile, the JV team went 1-3 and finished in 4th place in their division.
Heritage Christian Academy’s volleyball team defeated Glasgow Christian 3 sets to none Friday night to improve to 7-3 on the season and 3-0 in KCAA play.

Class 4-A power Highlands is number one, Bowling Green after its win over St. X is number two with St. X third, Warren Central is 5th, Mayfield is 8th, Christian County is ranked 21st.
Christian County hosts Lone Oak Friday night at 7, with the Heritage Bank pre game show at 6:35 on Newstalk 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP, while Hopkinsville travels to Madisonville for a 7 pm kickoff, with the Heritage Bank pre game show at 6:35 on Lite 98.7.
College Football: The Governor’s Cup will remain in Louisville following a 32-14 rout of the Kentucky Wildcats Sunday. Jeremy Wright rushed for 105 yards and three scores for 25th ranked Louisville in the victory. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was 19-21 for 232 yards. The Cards scored on their first three possessions.
Kentucky’s Maxwell Smith was 35-50 for 280 yards and two scores for 0-1 Kentucky. The Wildcats host Kent State Saturday night in Lexington, while Louisville continues its home stand hosting Missouri State.
