Fans are asked to bring non perishable food items for the Aaron McNeil House and receive $2.50 tickets. Hopper fans are also encouraged to wear red this evening.

At the London Olympics, the US women’s basketball team meets Angola today. The US has also claimed another medal in the pool, as David Boudia and Nick McCrory win bronze in the 10 meter synchronized platform diving.
Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari says he wants to work out a schedule where Kentucky, Indiana, Louisville, North Carolina and Kansas home and home each season. Calipari tells ESPN’s Andy Katz the scheduling rotation would feature each team playing two home games and two road games against the group each season. Kentucky is playing only Louisville from the teams mentioned this coming season.
The University of Louisville extended the contract of women’s basketball coach Jeff Walz over the weekend. According to the Courier Journal, Walz’ contract was extended to go through the 2018-19 season. Walz has been the head coach since 2007 with a 119-56 mark and four appearances in the NCAA tournament.
Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak says the quarterback competition between Matt Hasselbeck and Jake Locker is wide open. Both are alternating reps during practice, a pattern which will likely continue until a decision is made.
Munchak says he wants the decision to be made by the Titans third pre season game against Arizona on August 23rd in Nashville. Munchak targeted that date for the good of team chemistry and preparation for the regular season.
