It’s Michael Venable-State Farm Insurance night, with those who are Michael Venable customers who show their insurance cards receiving a free ticket, with those who bring school supplies for the Family Resource Center receiving half price tickets for $2.50.

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Joey Votto is to undergo surgery today to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. Votto suffered the injury sliding into third base in a game against San Francisco June 29th and will be sidelined 3-4 weeks.
LA Clippers forward Blake Griffin underwent surgery Monday to repair a medial meniscus tear in his left knee, which will force him to miss the upcoming London Olympics. He is being replaced on the roster by former University of Kentucky standout Anthony Davis. Clippers officials say Griffin is expected to make a full recovery and return for pre season drills this fall.
Kentucky football coach Joker Phillips and players Matt Smith, Larry Warford and Collins Ukuwu will face the media tomorrow as SEC Football Media Days are underway in Birmingham.
Syracuse University and the Big East Conference have agreed to a date when the Orange athletic program can leave the conference. July,2013 Syracuse can exit to join the Atlantic Coast Conference, which is a year earlier than allowed in the Big East bylaws.
Syracuse will also have to pay $7.5 million to leave, which is $2.5 million more than in the Big East bylaws. The University of Pittsburgh will also leave the Big East for the A-C-C, however, the Panthers departure date is uncertain at this point.
