Weather forced postponement of play in the 8th district baseball tournament Monday night.
This evening at 6, Hopkinsville meets Fort Campbell at Christian County High, with the host Colonels meeting University Heights in the nightcap.
In addition, softball will go as scheduled tonight with Christian County meeting Fort Campbell at 5:30, followed by Hopkinsville and University Heights at 7:30.

5th district baseball: Crittenden County defeated Lyon County 10-0 in 5 innings, while Livingston Central was a 5-0 winner over Trigg County.
6th district baseball: Union County defeated Webster County 10-3.
13th district baseball: Postponed until today due to rain.
5th district softball: Livingston Central defeated Trigg County 15-0 in 3 innings, no report on the KHSAA website for Crittenden County and Lyon County.
6th district softball: Henderson County defeated Webster County 16-0 in 3 innings.
13th district softball: Franklin Simpson defeated Russellville 10-0, with no report on the KHSAA website for Todd Central and Logan County.
5th district baseball final: Crittenden County meets Livingston Central.
7th district at Madisonville: Caldwell County meets Hopkins Central, followed by Madisonville and Dawson Springs.
13th district at Russellville: Todd Central meets Logan County, followed by Russellville and Franklin Simpson.
6th district softball final: Henderson County meets Union County

The Kentucky New Era reports on its website Fort Campbell High School has named a new volleyball coach. Nivea King has been named to coach the Lady Falcons in the 2012 season.
College Baseball: Kentucky opens play in the Southeastern Conference tournament this morning in Hoover, Alabama against Ole Miss, while Vanderbilt meets Georgia later today.
College Basketball: The Knoxville News Sentinel reports Tennessee’s Lady Vols have added junior college player Jasmine Phillips, a 5-11 forward from Louisburg Junior College in North Carolina. Phillips who will have three years eligibility remaining averaged 16.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game last season at Louisburg.
NFL: The Tennessean reports the Tennessee Titans have signed linebacker Zack Brown, the team’s second round pick in the NFL Draft last month. The deal is for four years and 3.85 million dollars, including a 1.24 million dollar bonus. Brown is the fourth member of this year’s draft class to agree to terms.
Minor League Baseball: The Nashville Sounds lost the opening game of their series at Las Vegas 10-8, with game two this evening.
The Bowling Green Hot Rods lose the series finale at Fort Wayne 4-3. The Hot Rods are off today.
