College Basketball: The Bowling Green Daily News reports former Western Kentucky basketballer Vinny Zollo is transferring to Furman University. Zollo, along with fellow freshman Derrick Gordon, announced at the end of last season they were leaving Coach Ray Harper's program. Gordon recently announced he was going to the University of Massachusetts. After sitting out this coming year, both players will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Minor League Baseball: The Nashville Sounds were a 4-3 winner at the Tucson Padres, with game three of the series tonight. The Bowling Green Hot Rods lost 4-3 to the Dayton Dragons. The Hot Rods open a series tonight at Fort Wayne.
