The National Association of Basketball Coaches have announced their All American teams. Kentucky freshman Anthony Davis was named to the first team, while teammate Michael Kidd Glichrist and Murray State's Isaiah Cannan were named to the third team.
Meanwhile, Davis is also a finalist for the Naismith Trophy for college basketball's player of the year presented by the Atlanta Athletic Club and A-T & T. Davis along with Kansas junior Thomas Robinson, Michigan State's Draymond Green and Creighton sophomore Doug McDermott are the finalists for the award to be presented during the Final Four in New Orleans.
Former Illinois basketball coach Bruce Weber is reportedly planning to interview for the vacancy at Southern Illinois. Weber was the Salukis head coach from 1998-2003 and lead Illinois to a national championship game appearance in 2005. Weber was fired by Illinois March 9th. Names being circulated to be Weber's replacement include VCU's Shaka Smart, Butler's Brad Stevens and Florida State's Leonard Hamilton.
Tickets are becoming more sparse for the appearance April 20th at Graves County High School by current Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. Tebow will be the featured speaker for the Night With A Champion to be held at the Eagles Nest Gymnasium. Ticket prices range from 25-100 dollars per seat.
