Kentucky is number one in both the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll and the Associated Press college basketball polls. Syracuse is ranked second in both polls, followed by Ohio State and Missouri. North Carolina is 5th in the AP poll, while Duke is fifth in the ESPN/USA Today poll. Murray State made the top 10 for the first time in school history in the AP poll at number 10, while the ESPN/USA Today poll has the nation's remaining undefeated team ranked 9th again this week.
Thanks to a top five finish at Abu Dhabi over the weekend, Tiger Woods has moved up to 17th in the World Golf Ranking, where Luke Donald remains number one. Woods is scheduled to make his PGA Tour debut February 9th at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro Am.
EA Sports is out with its annual Super Bowl simulation and has the New York Giants beating the New England Patriots 27-24 on a last second field goal. The Madden simulation has been correct six of the last eight Super Bowls, except Super Bowl 42 when the Giants ended New England's undefeated season.
