Louisville coach Rick Pitino tells ESPN Kevin Ware will dress for the Cardinals season opening game Saturday against Charleston Southern. Ware horrifically injured his leg in the NCAA tournament against Duke and has been rehabbing since then.
Ware participated in workouts Sunday going through all drills with no hesitation and Pitino said Ware looked “very good.” Louisville plays an exhibition game Wednesday night against Pikeville.
College Football: Missouri coach Gary Pinkel indicated following the Tigers win over Tennessee Saturday that quarterback James Franklin could play against Kentucky this week.

NFL: Defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio has been named interim head coach of the Denver Broncos. Del Rio has head coaching experience, as he guided the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2003 until 2011.
The move was made after head coach John Fox was taken to the hospital over the weekend after he became dizzy while golfing in Charlotte, North Carolina. Fox will undergo heart surgery this week to replace a valve and will miss four-to-six weeks.
Longtime NFC North rivals meet on "Monday Night Football" as the Chicago Bears invade Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers. The Bears are without quarterback Jay Cutler, who has a groin injury, and linebacker Lance Briggs, who has an injured shoulder. The Packers have won the last five meetings at Lambeau and six straight against Chicago overall, including the playoffs.
