Class 3-A: Fort Campbell hosts Edmonson County, Trigg County goes to Monroe County, Webster County travels to South Warren and Paducah Tilghman hosts Adair County.
Class 2-A: Caldwell County hosts Hancock County, Union County welcomes Ballard Memorial, Murray hosts Butler County and Owensboro Catholic entertains Crittenden County.
Class A: Russellville hosts Kentucky Country Day, Mayfield welcomes Caverna, Fulton County goes to Louisville Holy Cross and Fulton City travels to Bethlehem.
Class 4-A: Madisonville hosts Allen County Scottsville, Calloway County goes to Warren East, Hopkins Central at Franklin Simpson, Owensboro hosts Breckinridge County.
Class 6-A: Henderson County hosts Muhlenberg County, McCracken County welcomes Boone County, Daviess County at Central Hardin and Marshall County at Meade County.
Scott County remains number one and Bowling Green is second in this week’s Cantrall rankings in today’s Lexington Herald Leader.
McCracken County is 14th, Henderson County is 18th, Warren Central is 20th, Mayfield is 22nd and Caldwell County is 23rd in this week’s Top 25.
College Basketball: Kentucky plays its final exhibition game hosting Montevallo this evening at Rupp Arena, with pre game coverage beginning at 4:30 on Lite 98.7.
Austin Peay is also in exhibition action this evening as the Governors host Division Two perennial power Central Missouri. Tip off at the Dunn Center is at 7 pm.
Women’s exhibition action Sunday saw Kentucky defeat Eckerd College 83-35, Austin Peay defeat Martin Methodist 94-44, Murray State defeated Berea 103-59 and Western Kentucky defeated Glenville State 100-67.
College Football: Louisville made slight movement in one of the major college football polls this week. The Cardinals are 16th in the USA Today Top 25 poll, while staying at number 20 in the Associated Press poll. Alabama remains number one in both major polls.
Austin Peay running back Omar Williams was named the Ohio Valley Conference newcomer of the week. The Memphis sophomore rushed 35 times for a career high 179 yards in the Governors loss to Jacksonville State Saturday. The 179 yards was the most by a Governor running back in a single game since the 2009 season.
NFL: Former Christian County standout Keith Tandy made his second NFL start for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday and had his first career interception in the Bucs 27-24 overtime loss to Seattle. Tandy also recorded two tackles and three assists.
The Tennessee Titans defeated former coach Jeff Fisher and the St. Louis Rams Sunday 28-21. Chris Johnson had 150 yards and two scores to lead the Titans. Tennessee hosts Jacksonville next Sunday at noon in LP Field.
