High School Football: Bluegrass Preps.com has released its weekly polls.
Class 5-A: Bowling Green remains number one, Graves County is 7th, with Christian County 10th.
Class 3-A: Belfry is number one this week, with Paducah Tilghman 5th, South Warren 6th and Fort Campbell 7th.
Class 2-A: Caldwell County is first, Owensboro Catholic 7th and Murray 9th.
Class A: Mayfield is first with Russellville 3rd.
Class 4-A: Highlands is first with Owensboro ranked 7th.
Class 6-A: Trinity is first with Henderson County 10th.
College Football: Vanderbilt coach James Franklin says a report from Buzzfeed.com claiming he told a player to delete video of an alleged rape by four former players is a baseless statement he will not respond to.
When asked about the report, Franklin said it was a serious issue and that he has cooperated fully with university officials and authorities during the investigation. The four former players were indicted on charges of aggravated rape in August after being dismissed from the team.
College Basketball: The University of Tennessee’s Lady Vols schedule is undergoing a change. News Channel 5-Nashville reports Tennessee State will replace Tennessee Tech on the schedule. The game will take place in December 17th in Knoxville. The schedule change is due to a conflict that would prevent Tennessee Tech from playing their game with the Lady Vols on November 21st.
MLB: The Cincinnati Reds begin this evening’s play two games behind St. Louis in the NL Central as they host the Chicago Cubs. Pre game coverage begins at 5:40 on News/Talk WHOP.
St. Louis opens a series with Milwaukee, while Pittsburgh who is a game back of the Cardinals plays Texas in interleague play. Atlanta meets Miami again this evening.
