College Sports: The NCAA is going to stop selling individual college jerseys and other team-related memorabilia on its website. ESPN reports NCAA president Mark Emmert called the practice a “mistake” and admitted others might view it as hypocritical.
The move comes on the heels of ESPN analyst Jay Bilas criticizing the NCAA earlier this week for selling jerseys of popular college players on its ShopNCAAsports.com website. The website will re-open in a few weeks selling only NCAA championship and NCAA related merchandise.
