As the calendar turns to August 1st, it means the Hoptown Hoppers baseball season has come to a close and football season is almost near.
The Hoppers season finished last night with a 6-5 loss to the Fulton Railroaders in the final game of the Ohio Valley League championship series. A record crowd of 727 fans attended the game at Tiger Field. The Hoppers—the OVL regular season champions—finished the season 35-13.
