Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in the death of Odin Lloyd, a 27-year-old Boston semi-professional football player whose body was found June 17 about a mile from Hernandez's home in North Attleborough, Mass. Authorities have not found the gun used to kill Lloyd.
Golf: After darkness forced stoppage of the playoff at the Senior British Open Sunday at Royal Birkdale, Mark Wiebe defeated Bernhard Langer on the fifth playoff hole to win his first major. Langer, who had a three shot lead going into the final round, double bogeyed the 18th hole to force extra holes and missed an opportunity early today to end the tournament by missing a birdie putt.
