Brad Sevenish added a pair of hits for the Hoppers, who also saw Matt McGowan return to the lineup after missing over a week due to injury. Four Hopper pitchers combined to strike out 12 batters in getting the win, with Geordie Carlson, Cole Isom, Reese Johnson and Craig Caufield all seeing time on the bump. Caufield got the save, however the box score on the OVL website did not list a winning pitcher.

According to a Bowling Green Police arrest citation, the 21-year-old Jones of Dundee, FL was arrested while sitting in a parked car near Campus Suites Apartments while officers were investigating a loud music complaint.
When officers approached the vehicle, they smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana. A WKU spokesman says the school is aware of the situation and is gathering information.
Jones is scheduled to appear in court August 5, the same day WKU begins fall practice. Jones rushed for 84 yards and had three touchdowns last season, along with catching 14 passes for 180 yards and three scores. Jones missed spring practice with a foot injury.
