A Hopkinsville man was arrested on sodomy charges Sunday evening for alleged actions with a teenage boy.
Charged with four counts of third degree sodomy and two counts of unlawful transaction with a minor was 21-year old Jimmy Dewayne Milan of Hopkinsville. Police say Milan admitted to police that he provided alcohol to a 15-year old boy Saturday evening.
Milan also allegedly admitted to sexual intercourse with the victim, who said the acts happened after he had passed out from the alcohol. The child was evaluated and treated at Jennie Stuart Medical Center and Milan was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
A gunshot was fired in a disturbance on Nelson Drive from over the weekend.
Hopkinsville Police were called to 2811 Nelson Drive around 2:30 Sunday morning, where 30-year old Rona Curlin told officers a suspect punched her in the face and fired a handgun near her in an attempt to scare her.
No arrests have been made, but a suspect’s name is listed on the report.
A wreck in the city limits of Hopkinsville Saturday afternoon sent a local man to the hospital.
The report from HPD says 40-year old Michael Turley of Hopkinsville was attempting to turn left off Sanderson Drive onto Dawson Springs Road around 1:45pm and pulled into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by 24-year old Victoria Sanders of Hopkinsville.
Ms. Sanders didn’t have time to stop and struck Turley’s SUV in the side, causing him to run off the road. Both drivers were injured, but only Turley was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Police say Turley and Ms. Sanders were both wearing their seat belt.
Two teens have been reported missing in Trigg County and police are asking for the public’s help.
Trigg County Sheriff Ray Burnam says 16-year old Brittany Nicole Shafer and 17-year old Quentin Dean Bird were last seen together in a 2012 gray Nissan Altima with Kentucky license plate 550 MTX.
Ms. Shafer is a white female, standing about 4-9 and weighing 95 pounds. She has black hair and hazel eyes. Bird is a black male, standing 6 feet and weighing 155 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

A Fort Campbell soldier was killed in Afghanistan Friday.
The Department of Defense says 20-year old Private First Class Patricia Horne of Greenwood, Mississippi died in Bagram, Afghanistan.
She was assigned to the 96th Aviation Support Battalion, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division.
The military did not give the circumstances of her death.
