The Highway 41 Yard Sale concluded yesterday and grew in size from the first time around.
The second edition of the yard sale was the busiest locally in Kelly and Guthrie. There were several central locations in the Kelly community where multiple families and groups of friends had come together to combine for one large yard sale. Families served cold drinks and bottled water and there were a few locations where you could buy a hot dog or hamburger from the grill.
That's not even mentioning the dozens of yard sales where shoppers from all over western Kentucky and some from other states were seen making the route up and down 41 to find bargains.
Guthrie has its annual community-wide yard sale to coincide with the 41 event and Trenton will be back on that schedule next year with it's Heart of Trenton Main Street Festival.
At least four yard sales were also set up in Pembroke along 41 this weekend in the parking lot of the old school. The sale extended all the way from Guthrie to Henderson.
