The office of Governor Steve Beshear has confirmed he will visit Elkton Monday afternoon.
An email says Governor Beshear will be at 701 West Main Street for an economic development announcement at 1:30. As reported by WHOP News last Wednesday, he is expected to announce future plans for Glass Door Solutions to open for business in the old Ardco Building near Dairy Queen.
Officials say the plant will bring between 15 and 20 jobs to Elkton at start-up and up to 80 by the end of 12 months. Governor Beshear will be joined by State Senator Whitney Westerfield, State Representative Martha Jane King, Todd Judge-Executive Daryl Greenfield, Elkton Mayor Nancy Camp, South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council Chairman Eston Glover and John Walton of the Todd County Industrial Foundation.
