Recent rainfall may be responsible for a problem on Pilot Rock Road.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says an embankment failure has closed the eastbound lane of Pilot Rock Road just across the Todd County line. A pair of flagmen manned the closure overnight to direct traffic around the closure, but a temporary signal is expected to be installed today.
The roadway either washed out or a sinkhole may have caused the issue. An assessment will be done today and there is no timetable on when it may open back up. Motorists are urged to use caution when approaching that area.
