A police chase that began in Todd County ended in Hopkinsville early Saturday morning with the arrest of an Elkton man.
The Hopkinsville Police arrest citation for 32-year old Daniel Tucker of Elkton says the Todd County Sheriff’s Office began a pursuit that continued until officers used spike strips to stop his vehicle on Russellville Road.
Tucker had allegedly reached speeds of up to 75 miles per hour in a 45 zone. The report from Officer Spencer Loftus says Tucker told police he was on his way to Jennie Stuart Medical Center to have his lip checked out and to be checked out for methamphetamine use.
Police also say a search turned up a folding razor blade in Tucker’s front pocket. He was arrested and charged with fleeing from police, DUI and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
He remains in the Christian County Jail on $5,000 bond.
