Both people seriously injured in two separate wrecks in Christian County Tuesday remain hospitalized.
A spokesperson for Vanderbilt University Medical Center says 56-year old Jack Hudson of Hokinsville remained in the hospital and was in surgery Wednesday morning. Hudson had to be cut from his vehicle after a crash Tuesday evening at the intersection of Britmart Road and U.S. 68-80 near Fairview.
Christian County Sheriff's Sgt. Andre Radford says Hudson was attempting to turn onto 68 and drove into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
Meanwhile, 87-year old Ida Thomas of Hopkinsville remains in stable condition.
Christian County Sheriff’s Captain Chris Miller says Ms. Thomas was westbound on 68-80 around 2:13 p.m. Tuesday and ran the stop light at the Eagle Way Bypass intersection, according to witness accounts.
She struck a pickup driven by 74-year old Charles Banton of Hopkinsville, causing her vehicle to run off the road, through a field and into the Farm Credit Services building.
