Kentucky State Police charged an Elkton man Tuesday afternoon with his second DUI charge after being involved in a single-vehicle injury wreck on KY 104, about 4 miles south of Trenton.
State Police say preliminary investigation revealed that 30-year old Christopher Wasson of Elkton was driving southbound on KY 104, when his vehicle left the right shoulder, crossed both lanes of travel and exited off the left side of the roadway causing his vehicle to overturn on its top.
State Police say following the wreck, Wasson fled the scene and was located in a nearby field and was transported by ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center where he was treated and released.
In addition to being charged with DUI 2nd Offense, Wasson was charged with: Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Driving on a Suspended License 1st Offense, Fleeing and Evading Police 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, Failure to Notify Department of Transportation of Address Change and Failure to Notify Clerk of Address and Name Change.
Wasson remains lodged in the Christian County Jail.
The Trenton Fire Department and Todd County EMS also provided assistance at the scene.
