A society that has become dependent on smart phones was thrown for a loop last night when AT&T customers in Western Kentucky lost service for a few hours.
The company said a cut cable impacted towers across western Kentucky yesterday afternoon and evening. There have been a few hiccups since the problems were fixed, but most customers should find their cell phones working properly this morning.
AT&T released the following statement last evening: 'Wireless service has been restored in Western Kentucky after a cable cut earlier today impacted service for some AT&T customers. Technicians rerouted wireless traffic and service is currently running normally. We know customers count on their wireless services, and we apologize for this inconvenience.'
