A Hopkinsville medical facility received a national honor from a top accreditor this week.
Cumberland Hall Hospital was named one of the nation’s top performers on key quality measures by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in the United States.
A news release says Cumberland Hall was recognized for its use of Hospital Based Inpatient Psychiatric Services Measures. The ratings are based on information gathered by the commission last year.
Cumberland Hall was one of 620 hospitals nationally to receive the honor.
Hopkinsville Police responded to a shots fired call late last night, finding no one injured and no suspects.
The incident happened around 11:30 near the one thousand block of Durrett Avenue, with multiple officers responding to the area. Police say no arrests were made and no one was hurt.
Governor Steve Beshear will be in Hopkinsville Wednesday to make an announcement at the Trilogy Center.
A news release from the Governor’s office says he will make an announcement regarding Recovery Kentucky Center funding. Other local and state officials are set to attend the 3:30pm event.
The Trilogy Center is located on Russellville Road next to Western State Hospital.

A migrant worker was flown to a Nashville hospital after a farm accident in Todd County this afternoon.
The incident happened shortly after 2pm on Tabernacle Road near Fairview, with Todd EMS Director Lockey Beasley describing what happened.
