A statewide education organization will hold its annual conference in Trigg County in September.
The Kentucky Asscociation of Environmental Education will bring its 37th Annual Conference to Lake Barkley State Park September 12-15, according to a news release, which says earlybird registration is already underway.
Highlights of this year’s conference include a number of concurrent sessions and workshops on topics including solar energy, archeology, quilting, and raptor education. There are a number of off-site sessions taking place around Lake Barkley and the Land Between The Lakes, including canoe trips, hikes, an archeological tour and a chance to spin fiber at the Homeplace in LBL.
There will also be horseback riding, archery and trapshooting available at the park for participants and family members looking to get out and enjoy the outdoors. Registration information is available online at kaee.org
