Fireworks, tractors and wrestling are on the schedule for Independence Day at the Western Kentucky State Fair.
Gates open at 4 o'clock and it would be a great day to look at the American Veteran Traveling Tribute and the Traveling Wall. The petting zoo opens in the Livestock Pavilion at 4 and rides open at 5 o'clock.
It will be the first fireworks display at the fairgrounds since 2011 after the severe drought canceled last year's event. Tim Bass says the show will begin at 9 in the grandstand.
Tractor pulls begin at 7:30 with local farm stock. Meanwhile, in the convention center, Kahle Morris says the always popular wrestling is set for 7:30 and that always draws a large crowd.
It's also another arm band night, attendees able to get unlimited rides for $18.
