Projects to repave and rehabilitate four intersections in three counties, including Logan County have been awarded to contract by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Transportation officials say the projects are part of a larger initiative that started last May to target intersections across Kentucky with the greatest need of repair.
Officials say the contract in Logan County involves two intersections U.S. 68-KY 80 Bypass and KY 100 and U.S. 68-KY 80 Bypass and KY 79.
Officials say Scott and Murphy Inc. was awarded the contract on a low bid of $341,417, with a completion date of both projects scheduled for November 30th.
Officials say over $6 million in intersection projects was awarded to contract in 2012, and the same amount or more is expected in 2013.
