A Fort Campbell soldier died in a non-combat related incident in Afghanistan Friday.
The Fort Campbell Public Affairs Office says 25-year old Sgt. Justin Richard Rogers of Barton, New York died in the incident near Bagram Airfield.
Sgt. Rogers was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 101st Airborne Division as a horizontal construction engineer. He joined the Army in March 2008.
His awards include two Army Achievement Medals, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Army Service Ribbon.
Sgt. Rogers is survived by both of his parents, who reside in New York.
