A man sustained what were thought to be non-life-threatening injuries when he was struck by lightning while playing golf at Novadell Sunday evening.
The call went out just before 7 of a man who had been struck near the 17th hole. Initial reports indicated the individual had a wound to the elbow and that his sock had been burned by the bolt, but he was alert, moving and communicating with responders on the scene.
Life-Flight was initially contacted, but was called off after EMS decided to take him by ambulance to Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville. The man’s name wasn’t immediately available.
