Hopkinsville Police say they have arrested several people in connection to a recent residential burglary.
Police charged 21-year old Manuel Louie Garcia of Hopkinsville with Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000 and Receiving Stolen Property Under $1500, 38-year old Lorie Dillard of Hopkinsville is charged with Receiving Stolen Property Under $500 and Theft By Deception Including Cold Checks Under $500 and 29-year old Damien Purcel of Hopkinsville is charged with Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000.
According to Garcia’s arrest warrant, sometime between Wednesday, May 22nd and Wednesday, May 29th he unlawfully broke into the residence at 311 Crestview Drive and removed several items.
Police say after conducting an online search for the stolen items, it was determined that the stolen property was pawned by Dillard and during questioning, she stated Garcia was with her when she pawned the stolen items for cash and did so at his direction.
Police add that during a search warrant of Pursel’s apartment on Thursday at 1800 Denzil Drive, stolen items were recovered that were taken during a burglary that happened Friday, May 31st at 2736 Green Lane, Hopkinsville.
Police say additional charges and more arrests are pending in this investigation.
