A Princeton man was arrested in Trigg County over the weekend after he allegedly hit his daughter while intoxicated at a campground.
The arrest citation for 31-year old Mickey Rogers of Princeton says the Trigg County Sheriff's Office was called to the Hurricane Creek Campground a little after 3 pm. The report says Rogers had trouble standing, smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech.
Other people at the campground told deputies that Rogers had smacked his daughter in the face. The victim reportedly said her father had slapped her after becoming angry and that he knocked her down. The girl was left in the custody of her mother and Rogers was arrested on assault and being drunk in public charges.
