A wreck on Interstate 69 in Hopkins County Thursday evening injured an out of state man.
The incident happened around 6 pm, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police, which says 39-year old Alva Jones of Lubbock, Texas was southbound near the 105 mile-marker when he took his eyes off the road to retrieve an item in the cab.
The tractor-trailer's tires dropped off the right side of the road, causing the vehicle to run off the road. Jones struck a guardrail and his semi overturned, causing injuries that sent him to a local hospital. Jones was wearing his seat belt, according to police.
