A local radio news reporter is in Vanderbilt University Medical Center after having a medical condition and wrecking on I-24 in Christian County Wednesday.
Kentucky State Police says 60-year old Lee Erwin, who is a reporter for Five Star Radio, was eastbound on I-24 at the 90 mile-marker near Oak Grove around 4:15 when he apparently experienced a diabetic emergency.
Erwin's vehicle traveled into the median and overturned several times before coming to rest on the driver's side in the median. Erwin was not injured, but was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for his medical condition and was later flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he is in stable condition. Five Star owns and operates several local radio stations, including The Beaver, The Fan and Q108.
