For the second time in two days, a Clarksville Police officer rescued a person from a burning home Tuesday morning.
Clarksville-Montgomery County Dispatch received a call around 7:25am about a house on fire at 300 Blaine Court.
Officer Seth Paugh was already in the area and was the first responder to the scene. Neighbors believed a woman was still inside and smoke had already blackened the windows.
Seeing a vehicle in the driveway, Officer Paugh forced the door open and crawled inside on his hands and knees. He found a woman lying on the floor and was able to pull her out of the residence.
She was taken by ambulance to Gateway Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
