Murray Police say they caught a man in the act of burglarizing a business early Thursday morning and were able to link him to additional recent break-ins.
A news release says officers were called to Baldy’s Grill at 817 Coldwater Road in response to a burglary in progress. They found 26-year old Brent Stalls of Murray inside the business, with police saying he apparently made entry through the roof and ventilation system.
Stalls was arrested outside after he fled through a side door. He was taken to the Calloway County Jail on third degree burglary and resisting arrest charges.
A second news release says that after determining what Stalls had been wearing, they noticed he had shoes on that were similar to prints documented at a burglary at Renfroes Burger Restaurant on Monday.
A search warrant on Stalls’ home turned up item stolen from another restaurant and from Upper Cuts Salon. Two more counts of third degree burglary and one of first degree burglary were tacked on and he remains in the Calloway County Jail.
