A Murray State University Alumnus recently received national recognition and received a prestigious award.
Phil Jones, MSU Alumnus and the art director at the advertising agency Carmichael Lynch, recently received a significant honor by being chosen as one of the 34 creative individuals across the globe to win the Advertising Directors Club Young Guns X Award.
This year’s contest marks the 10th annual Young Guns competition and officials say there were entries from 39 countries with each entry judged on both professional and personal work.
The panel of judges picked six of 10 of Jones’ projects from his portfolio, because each project incorporated a cutting edge, fresh image with simplicity being the focal point.
Jones’ projects were displayed during the ADC celebration party at a gallery in New York.
Jones was quoted as saying that he was very lucky and thankful he was able to achieve this title, because it was a goal he set for himself for the past five years.
In addition to receiving a one-year ADC membership, each winner will also have a permanent membership in the ADC Young Guns Network, along with the opportunities to be featured in upcoming events.
